I took apart my PowerBook G4 and burn the video chip just like the iBook video and it worked. I do not recommend or advise the process and if it doesn't work for you i am truly sorry. Please proceed at your own risk. Also I will start to do reviews of tech products, so tell me what you want to see and I will try and review it. Feel free to email me at chandakaloki@yahoo.com Visit http://enigmotech.yolasite.com/ for more information

  • are you trying to melt the solder and get the chip to get a better connection. Did it work, or did you manage to de-solder other parts - looks crazy.... better to use a proper de-solderer.

  • @raindogred Yes I was trying to melt the solder on the connector pins, and crazy enough it worked and lasted up to 2 weeks, then the scrambled video started to reoccur, I thought maybe I would need a higher temp of heat or to use proper tools. I got this idea from the similar problem on the iBooks, I didn't think it would work at first, but it did. I hope I answer your questions

  • no that isn't a candle, but u can use a tea candle
