  • Also, what tools did you use to draw the solid areas? Did you do an outline with the Pen Tool? ...Or did you fill in the space with a wide brush? So curious about your process. Love your work!

  • @alterna180 Fills I generally outline with the pen tool or with the pencil tool so that they are solid fills. Very rarely I paint them in with a brush and then flatten them.

  • Very cool! I just got a Cintiq 12WX and am trying to figure out how to draw in Adobe Illustrator while taking advantage of the pressure sensitivity. What kind of brush are you using to draw your "inked" lines? I see as you were drawing the little doctor's cheek, the brush stroke was different weights to match your drawing path, and presumably the pressure of your hand. I may just need to do some tutorials, but that is the main part I am trying to figure out.

  • @alterna180 I am using various brushes that I have modified to my liking. Mostly calligraphic brushes. You can adjust how much the line thickens and tapers off according to pressure and angle to your own liking.

  • i want to buy this monitor tablet, but when i view this video i see that the brush doesnt allign with the pen tip, is that done with a setting or is it always like that?

  • It aligns perfectly - but you can change the alignment in settings if you were having a problem.
