  • The bass line and the chords sound off to me. I think you may have made a few mistakes transcribing this.

But I really don't know. I play this on classical guitar, I've never played a chapman stick.

  • @therealshugjr It may sound off because it's a big jump from bass to treble, you may be used to hearing them closer together. That and there is no sustain in my bass, so that sounds different. But my bass teacher helped me transcribe and learn it, so I know the notes are correct.

  • id like to see him do the 3rd movement

  • Tony Levin didn't invent it. he just the master at it. i believe it was Emmet Chapman because he wanted a instrument that could tap all way.

Well now I feel dumb, hahaha.

Thanks for clearing that up :)

  • @curbowman well actually the Stick is the first one, and the Megatar's builder T. Topaz was one of the first Stick owners, who decided to produce copies of it and now tries to re-write the whole tapping instruments timeline :D

  • @canadianman000 That's the reason I clicked on this video!

  • @canadianman000 ;D;D

  • @canadianman000 hahaha me too

  • when i mean Master I don't actually mean the best of all Chapman Stick Players. I just mean that he is very good at it..

I wouldn't call Tony Levin "the master" of the Chapman Stick - by his own admission he barely uses the treble strings of the instrument at all, and can be seen on YouTube saying as much. He is though, a very, very fine musician (and one of my alltime fave players) who only uses the Stick when it best suits his purposes, which isn't that often.

  • Beautiful just beautiful
