Composed by Vivaldi and arranged by Magdalene Wong for harp ensemble. One of two pieces performed by Nan Hua Harp Ensemble at the Singapore Youth Festival 2011.
I recall playing this lively piece arranged by you (and I think it was in A minor) for the Yahama Guitar Festival some years ago. What I would like to say, Magdalene, is that this version tastes like, if not better than, fine old wine! The Nan Hua kids did very well on the day of their actual performance. Their performance was flawless!
The intricate passages of Vivaldi never sounded better by a youth group, soley because of the warm and patient guidance of Arranger/Conductor and World-Class Harpist Magdalene Wong. These young ladies are far more fortunate than they'll ever know. I'm blessed that Ms. Wong and Youtube allow me the delightful pleasure of sitting here thousands of miles away and enjoying their talent.
this piece just deserves more than a Silver in SYF.......
