This week's lesson introduces the first prop flair that we will be learning in the upcoming weeks. Set down your bottle and tin and get ready to use some other fun objects we have around the bar. These moves can be great crowd pleasers and are especially useful if your boss is worried about you dropping/breaking bottles at work (which you should be concerned about too!) This move is a fun one, using two beer bottles and opening one of them with flair. Brought to you by http://www.christhebartender.com. Have fun and keep practicing!
Cheers,
Chris

  • Do you have to be of legal drinking age to be a bartender?

  • In the U.S., depends on the state. Ask around at your favorite bar, they can tell you. As for globally, that's a good question. I don't know. Ask your favorite bartender.

  • Isnt the flipped beer going to foam over when you open that next?

  • Good question. It can sometimes. If you practice and get a really smooth flip, it will be minimal. I usually wait about 5 seconds before opening it, and that solves the problem. Also, for some reason, some beers tend to foam more than others. I avoid doing this is MGD, but Bud, Corona, etc. all work fine. Cheers!

  • You may just need to get lucky. Be persistent though. Dont give up. Some of the best BT jobs Ive had I kept calling and calling till i got a shot. Pick a place you really want to work and bug the shit out of them.

  • Bought one of those speed openers at my local liquor store here down under, and it cost me $20!

  • won't the beer that is in the air be all fizzy when you open it? i think you're a great teacher and i love your vids but i think if i did that at work the customer would be like wtf why are you shaking up my beer?? looks awesome tho

  • @krystle5391 yes even in europe you have to be of legal drinking age (it's 18 over here though)

  • @MangoMyers in the UK it is legal for someone under 18 to work the bar but every sale has to be authorised by someone over the age of 18, so it is rarely done. although glass collectors are alloud to be of any age.

  • whats up with the focus! argh! :'(

  • shut the fuck up..alot of shit talking...just explain it concisely and that's it.

  • @MangoMyers

    What about real beer?

  • ufff your awesome and really, really handsome... greetings from Colombia.

  • @krystle5391 in the netherlands you have to be 18, since that is the legal drinking age (as for the higher percentage of alcohol)
