I think caring about what others think is something we cannot avoid. As you were saying, people are social creatures, and part of living in a social setting is to be accepted into the social circles... even a circle of outcasts is still a circle. Maybe that's why people feel the need to label themselves based on religion, music, sexual partner preference. Even people who say that they don't care what people think often like the shock value of that statement to others. By enjoying that they care.

QLP has, in some respects, given me an entirely different view on life, especially this installment.
Therefore, as I value so much this source of wisdom, I will humbly submit my own query, first posed by Leo Tolstoy in his notable essay:
Why do men stupefy themselves? (alcohol, weed, tobacco, cocaine)
P.S. For some reason, I think putting "Free Tibet" on a shoe is hilarious :)

i thought we shouldn't care about what others think of us because why we have to do that? it just will make us self-conscious. anyway i'm new here , and can't speak English well
