Dog Days at PAWS of Hertford

It's a HOT and MUGGY North Carolina Sunday at the Hertford County Animal Shelter. This is a snapshot of some of our homeless dogs patiently awaiting someone to come take them home. Take special note of Old Man, the black lab mix who jumps on top of the dog houses -- due to his older age and the fact that he is black, he already has 2 strikes against him. For some probably superstitious and cultural reason, black dogs are hard to adopt out. In conditions of over crowding, he'll probably be the first to be put down.

Consider rescuing one of these great dogs!
