Great song by Go Radio
Go Radio is:
Jason Lancaster-Vocals, Guitar
Alex Reed- Guitar
Matt Burns- Bass
Steven Kopacz- Drums

Lyrics:

I must assume you're looking at me
Cause I know some things that we need to know about here
And we pretend that we both got wings
And both of us sing
So we'll sing til we fly out of here

Oh and maybe then we'll come back down
Oh and maybe then we'll come back down

Can we believe in things we can't see?
Without them we seem to disappear like we evaporate
And when we leave untraceable seams
That tear and we bleed, we need a martyr that won't hesitate

Oh and maybe then we'll come back down
Oh and maybe then we'll come back down

And I was hoping things were better
Something we could write in letters, singing
This is where we are, here and counting scars
The fight for something greater left us dead or barely breathing, singing
This is where we are, cut out for shooting stars

And I miss the way we lived in our dreams
When trust had meaning
When we were young and we were proud of this
When we defined ourselves by our screams
Cause life by no means seemed to give us both the best of it

But I guess maybe we can come back down
Whoa but maybe we can come back down

And I was hoping things were better
Something we could write in letters, singing
This is where we are, here and counting scars
The fight for something greater left us dead or barely breathing, singing
This is where we are, cut out for shooting stars

And I was hoping things were better
Something we could write in letters, singing
This is where we are, here and counting scars
The fight for something greater left us dead or barely breathing, singing
This is where we are, cut out for shooting stars

Ready or not, yeah
Whoa, yeah ready or not, oh whoa
Ready or not

Matt Burns- Bass
Steven Kopacz- Drums

  • @jojococo54 Damn, chill. If you were true Mayday Parade fans, you would love them both. I just saw them yesterday night (Go Radio) and Jason actually signed my MP shirt. He has no hard feelings, why should you?

  • @Get27Shotted Since I made that comment over a year ago, so much has changed with Go Radio. The release of Do Overs and Second Chances impressed me, simply because he'd made something of himself post-Mayday Parade, but Lucky Street sealed the deal for me. Jason Lancaster's voice improved to a more recognizable level and his songwriting got so good that he's literally become a hero of mine. Even better, Go Radio as a whole backs him up comparable to that of what Mayday did, maybe even better.

  • The only reason why Mayday's old albums were so good was because of Lancaster. End of story.

  • First time hearing the song.watching the video and see the old mayday parade dude and I literally facealmed myself and said out loud well there goes all the comments

  • @WishfullThinkerx3 i agree !!!

  • guys shut up and enjoy the music<3

  • @nevermoregg Oh I don't disagree with you at all as far as Jason being in Mayday goes. His writing and voice combined with Mayday's stage presence, guitars, incredibly coordinated drums, and pure vocals from Derek created something that I still recognize as one of the greatest albums ever made. But I also suggest that you look deeper into Go Radio. Songs like "Thanks for Nothing," "The Truth Is," and "Swear it Like You Mean it" are what keep me comparing them to old Mayday. As you said, IMO.

  • @Dontkicktheguitarist Let's be honest though. The album Tales told by dead friends& a lesson in romantics were way better than LUcky street and Do overs and second chances, both lyrics wise and music(instrument). I felt like Jason's rawness was controlled by Derek's voice, which is better than just alone. That's why songs like The last something that meant anything, You be the anchor, ... are still my favorite songs. Songs like Why I'm home, any other hearts are great, but not perfect. Just IMO

  • this is kind of my favorite song from them. oh, but forever my father is a close second. i just feel like they're really....honest and raw and sincere.

  • @dudeofdudez1 haha my car is stupid and my speakers weren't working and only the right was working and it was just his voice is that what your talking about?

  • If you're listening to this with headphones, listen to the beginning with only the right headphone

  • I hope that when this song is on the deluxe version of Lucky Street it sounds just as awesome :D
