Sigh... Mark, could you remain consistent in your calvinism, please? "We will be rewarded or punished according to what we have done..."? Sounds Arminian. And Catholic. And Pelagian. I'm all for that, mind you.

An eternal punishment for a temporal sin hardly amounts to the idea that "the punishment always fits the crime". And then if you add the ludicrous idea of predestination into the mix, you end up with complete moral absurdity.
