I said something like;
Britain lost most of its Empires' wealth after the 50's, most countries (including Britain) were trying to rebuild after WW2, both Allied and Axis, we were all hit hard.
But we managed to get better, and look where we are today. Ireland didn't even get a scratch on it, and it STILL couldn't lift itself out of poverty. LMFAO! It had to beg to the EU.
