On September 30 and October 1, 2012 Works & Process at the Guggenheim presented American Ballet Theatre in a program featuring choreographer Alexei Ratmansky. Heralded by the New York Times as the choreographer who "has arrived to revitalize ballet," Ratmansky was named ABT's Artist in Residence in 2009. ABT's renowned dancers performed a survey of Ratmansky's work including an excerpt of the new Ratmansky/Shostakovich work, and John Meehan moderated a discussion with ABT Principal David Hallberg, ABT Ballet Mistress Nancy Raffa, and Ratmansky.
