the last bit is nonsense..! the prototype of this boat has just had both props repaired due to it grounding and bending them..cause...? the moon epigee..! unusually low tide.. sat on them an fukt them..! i know this because i removed them..!!

Sorry to hear that she needed repair!
The prototype was a non-standard build & was never an operational lifeboat like the Severn class lifeboats in the film. In fact it was due to lessons learnt during the trials on her that meant that all operational lifeboats had protected propellers as standard. Interestingly enough, all slipway launched boats, like the Tamar class are testament to how well protected the propellers are.
