Classic rally action with the very best drivers of the Group A era in action in the 1993 edition of the legendary WRC event Rallye Monte Carlo. It was an event of many debuts with the all-new Ford Escort RS Cosworth and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo I making their first appearance in the World Rally Championship. Also it was the debut event for Carlos Sainz, Juha Kankkunen and Didier Auriol in their new teams. 4 teams, 3 days and one night - and thousands of fanatic spectators. This is Monte at its best.

The lack of crowd control and the spectators behaviour fascinates me.
What is it that makes one attempt to touch a speeding rally car?
Is it about having a brush with death?
Equally fascinating is the mentality of the driver going flat out in to a crowd of people knowing full well that a mistake could cause deaths or at least severe injuries.
Any viewers here admit to being one those that stood there defying death or are they all killed by now?
