  • The only thing the Baha'i faith teaches us about being the elected ones is that we are elected to receive even more tests from God.

  • @duckotaco and with this people, peaceful means or logic and reason go nowhere. I invite everyone to simply SHUN them out - if they don't respect other's opinion and thinking, we shall do the same, and more. THIS is a solution. Peace and unity only bring war.

I respect all human beings. But I have no respect for intolerance and lies. I HATE INTOLERANCE AND LIES AND I'M READY TO KILL FOR THEM. This is integrity. This is solution.

  • @duckotaco conclusion: in my eyes, this conversation only proves that baha'is, like all people too irrationally convinced of their own leaky belief systems, too based on blind faith while abandoning the all-important cold reason, can be little bullies, little insignificant ones who use manipulation, discouragement and small petty attacks without the honesty of a full blown hate attack like my beautiful honest rude ones.

True rude > passive aggressive bullyism.

    Bahai "bully" fails.

  • #3 Check out religious unity and dangers of priesthood

  • I would not want a world without priests and nuns of the various profounder religions. The world Baha'is want is one where there is no religious diversity and no religions of any depth.

  • A priest hood and a monastic class is better because those people truly renounce the world (as BuL advocated through the Hidden Words). More fully renouncing the and pursuing religious practices more intensively, they uncover the occult spiritual knowledge (mentioned so much in the Aqdas) for the people, guiding them from a higher perspective and plain. Wherever there are true renouncers of the "world of dust," the people are protected and blessed.

  • Yeah. B-u-L banned speaking from pulpits. Even though Baha'is did it constantly when I was a Baha'i. (So much for their grandious "Book of Laws.") They are supposed to, according to BuL, only speak sitting down on a chair, atop a platform.

The religion is full of weird little rules like this, but nothing about genetic engineering, porn, or industrialization. And it's supposed to guide mankind in all of its multifarious troubles for a thousand years.

  • @waiotahi52 Both Baha'u'llah and the Bab banned the pulpit and as there is no priesthood in the Faith, there is no need for them.Makes sense to me

  • Lesson for today. Pulpits.

  • Have fun.

  • Bizarre beliefs?

"You have been prohibited from mounting into pulpits. Whoever desires to recite the verses of his Lord to you, let him sit on a seat placed on a platform"

    Kitab-i-Aqdas

    Baha'is "Most Holy Book"

One of many bizarre Baha'i laws

  • Well ducko, you and flaws and the divine have sure convinced me. If the way you 3 carry on are the alternatives offered by this Faith, I am going to become a Baha'i. You three guys have got to have the most bizarre ideas and beliefs I have ever witnessed. This Religion offers the most lucid, clear and concise explanations for any of your diatribe. Many thanks for this,

    As-Salāmu `Alaykum
