You asshole. If God doesn't have to abide by his own rules, then why did he send his Son down as a SACRIFICE? A rule he set for humans? Why did he have to kill his son, if he could just forgive seeing as he could do what ever the hell he wants? I'll tell you why. The bible was made by evil people, desperate for blood and sacrifice and rituals and an explanation. Muslims do the same, yet you say they're wrong

Yeah, but a god wouldn't have to do anything for personal gain, if he can create anything he wants. So either he's not all-powerful. Or a sadist.

Try telling that to any theist. "Oh, well, we just won't understand what god does. Because he's so much more than us, we can never question what god does because we'll never understand."
I think it's easy to understand god's motivations. Just remove the deity and put a man in its' place. Suddenly the stealing of land, the jealousy, the constant urgings toward genocide makes sense.
