They been sending unmanned craft to the moon for a year before Apollo. Google "Surveyor moon". Unmanned craft can have adjustable reflectors attached to their sides.

@Cosmored Not to mention for this to have been faked, someone must have designed, installed and operated all the sets and thousands of system simulations fed to mission control, simulated astronaut blast off, recovery, delivery to set, transport to Pacific "splash down", doctored optical and radio telescopes in both hemispheres, got the lunar laser ranging equipment to the moon, manufactured the Moon rocks, which are unlike anything on Earth, all by themselves, with nobody noticing.
