Transforming Long-Term Care: Giving Residents a Place to Call "Home"

Many Americans dread nursing homes. They smell the disinfectant, picture infirm elderly people in wheelchairs in the halls, and shudder. But a growing movement in long-term care is transforming nursing home life.

In this video, Mary Jane Koren, Assistant Vice President for Quality of Care for Frail Elders, introduces the Fund article, "Transforming Long-Term Care: Giving Residents a Place to Call 'Home'" and provides an overview about culture change.
