i found one yesterday actually the actual cicada not its shell, unfortunately it was dead. I put it in my bug collection for my insects class.

I believe we do have them up here. I remember hearing them and finding them when I was younger. Sadly, don't really hear them and definitely don't find them much anymore. I'm not sure if it's from a lack of paying attention or because they are fading away.
