i had this problem its flashed it back to stock from the update... look on the tutorials on xboxiso .com ... you need to reflash your drive and then complete the update...

tried to update to play fifa 12 now nothing but stupid error msg screen..whats my option to fix this

My xbox was just flashed when i inserted a back up of fifa 12 and while updating the "cant read update from disk" screen came up. every time i turn it on, its the same story. So by getting an original fifa 12 it will correct the problem?

@allstarlegend9 @fuckerouni1908 I think on the newer games this might have changed. But its worth a try. Rent the game for a night or borrow it from a mate.

As below I inserted an original copy of motion sports. It then updated it from that disc.

Seems like original disc is the only way. You can put any of the orginal kinect games in. Except adventures. Been playing brotherhood today, your missing out! Yeah it works fine on any games now. Tempted to get assassins creed for the multi though..

Just solved this problem by inserting an original copy of kinect motion sports. Now it works fine... Cheers mircosoft...
