Is that Chad Smith on drums of the Red Hot Chili Peppers
-
They were way better in the 70's doing the heavy rock stuff..!

@spdskte ....at one time it was called The Rare Cherry....if I remember right.
Do you remember The Struttin' Club....just down the road from there?

Yes it was! I was lucky enough to play there April 1984 when they used to have open mic night. It was called The Main Act and the MC that night... Bob Bowers. It was the first club that I ever played and it started an incredible odyssey for me. It was the best times of my life and it gave me a lifetime of great stories. Since my own children saw a video of me from back in the day, now all three of them are into singing, dancing and acting. Great times, great people and great memories! Chris M

Thank you nabmcm! You just solved a mystery that has lasted for about 25 years. The Mikatam is the bar where my band opened for Madame X, not realizing until years after that the AMAZING singer in that band was Sebastian Bach. No one I know has been able to remember the name of the place or where it was, we just knew it was a long way from Ypsilanti. Thank you again!

I saw Toby Redd open for Bob Segar at the Mikatam lounge out side of Flint. I think it 1975 or 1976. They were great!! They made Segar look bad. After hearing Toby Redd it was hard to listen to bar band. I wish I could get my hands on a CD.

In my opinion, A To Z is so much a better album than In The Light, it isn't even funny.
