Alabama Archaeological Society tests prehistoric Mill Pond Site at Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park. The shovel test in this area yielded flakes, a biface fragment, and pot sherds so we we opened a 1-meter square. Steve Meredith, Society President, examines a rock cluster and stain in the southwest corner of the square which may be a fire hearth.
