Pentax K-x first look

In the Pentax line-up the K-x sits in the slot between K2000 (K-m) and the semi-pro K-7. While at first sight the new model is pretty much indistinguishable from the K2000, a closer look reveals that, from a features and specification point of view, the K-x has quite lot in common with the K-7, a significantly more expensive camera. It comes with the K-7's 11-point AF system and PRIME II imaging engine, along with its abilities to correct for chromatic aberration and distortion when using Pentax DA and DFA lenses. Add 720p HD video, ISO 12800 and 4.7 frames per second continuous shooting to the mix and you've got a, for the the K-x's very attractive price point, impressively well-specified camera.

@WAH10ler I would go for Pentax k-x,but it depends if you need video recording(,1280 x 720 (HD 24 fps), 640 x 416 (24 fpsPentax K-x, Sony alpha500 no video mode).

What about Canon Eos 500d or 550d?

@bboylilsoul, the pentax is a lower level dslr, but with amazing image quality for its price - the canon is also really good quality but higher level & price.

my best friend is getting the canon 550d & i'm getting the pentax :P oh and i know you said you don't care but they both have HD movie.

my friend has this & she's never complained about camera shake.. i've heard the image stabilizer's really good actually.

that review was awful. legit like, you can fix the "shake" on the camera and all that crap, this clearly was your first look
