pretty good stuff for the 80s. No wonder, though, he couldn't find anybody who understood what he wanted to do as far as creating Pretty Hate Machine and had to go it alone

@MrShmetel what?? are you nuts? why would you let his early stuff ruin NIN for you? all artists go through growing pains and awkward moments -this was Trents. You should be GLAD he evolved into NIN and no longer does this kind of music. grow up a little, man.

This makes me respect him so much more, he went from silly corny band, that does silly-cutesy covers, to making hard, fascinating, beautiful and most definitely heart wrenching music that actually means something to A LOT of people. I look at it as you can't be who you are meant to be without experimenting along the way.

Even songs I liked are forever tainted by his dalliance with weak-ass, Rick Springfield, techno pop. All the things I loved about NIN mean nothing now. Option 30 took that from me.
