How to get the timing right when swimming breaststroke - as with all the strokes, timing is the key to bringing great technique alive as well as keeping the stroke efficient. This is more so the case with Breaststroke than with any of the other 3 swim strokes. Getting the timing of the arms, legs and glide all working together will keep the stroke 'flowing' with as little disruption as possible.

  • Excellent explanation and demonstration of how to do it...I just need to practice a long time as just got the basics of this stroke. I found front crawl not to my liking, after my 6th or so of about 9 lessons...oh well...

  • @Rabbieboy1965 Thank you for watching & commenting. Good luck with the practice!

  • I know this video us demonstrating timing, but I would just say that you never want your head looking straight forward, it screws up your body position, instead I'd say 45 degrees or lower when out of the water and streamline when underwater

  • @mipmipmipmipmip Thank you for watching, feeding back with your comments and good luck with the practice!

  • @sunreynyc I 100% agree with you. The videojug videos are a disaster, for example. What's good here: very detailed explanations for all the different movements in separate youtube videos, very good view on the moves, and the slow-motion movements make things really clear.

I'll try and practice the coming months.

  • o.O
