What a fucking brilliant chart that week. I know we always say music is shite now but we'd be lucky to get a chart like that for best of year let alone a random week in March

The ITV Chart Show was a music video programme shown on a British Television channel called ITV between 1989 and 1998. The ITV Chart Show consisted of exclusive music videos, specialist charts shown each week with rock, indie and dance and the Top Ten singles chart.

Einar`s shouty moments used to piss me off, I have to admit.

I loved Lush. I had a Lush badge, and someone once asked me if that meant that I drank too much. Ahem.

galaxie 500 are another band
Interesting fact - Fugazi (at #10) were one of the first bands to be labeled as "emo", even though their sound and image are a million miles away from the dyed black fringed, tight clothes wearing whinings that the genre is associated with now. It was originally a subgenre of hardcore punk which was more experimental and less aggressive. The band didn't like the tag then, and I can't imagine they would like it any more now!
