I know I sound like every other pretentious twit when I say this, but I really do believe that Coldplay's first 3 albums were far better than their most resent stuff. All three albums (Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, and X&Y) are really solid. There are no particularly weak songs on any of them. It feels to me like their last two albums have been to make money and get on top of the pop scene, rather than writing epic songs like this one!

I think the EXACT same thing mate. Glad I'm not the only one, I guess we ARE right. That's not to say that their last albums were bad... but there were only like 2 or 3 songs in each of them that caught my ear. Those old ones.. were really something else.

the songs about jane was were the real deal is it was real instruments and maroon 5 could be heard as there true self but as years have gone by they became mainstream and now if you listen closly adam is only singing and the electronic noises accompaning him and only in the live versions you can hear everybody
