Those guys singing sound like my buds up in Cherokee NC. If you ever get a chance you should pay them a visit.

Wher are those native americans I hear singing?

Overall I liked the video and info. I did have trouble hearing everything you said though.

how you make that underblanket? can I buy that somewhere?*_*

That's just awesome mate, using an old sleeping bag to make the under blanket. Ideal as I've just bought 2 of the kids new mummy bags and have their old squared foot sleeping bags just lying round doing nothing. Now I can recycle them to make under blankets. Brilliant stuff cheers for the handy tip.

because you crush the blanket or sleeping bag making them poor insulation

ive never heard of an underblanket, but am i missing something? why not just put a blanket/light sleepingbag in the hammock and attatch it to the top cord so it doesnt slip down?

Lovely rig, would the shock cord attached to the tarp loop above you be better on the ridgeline with a prusik hitch, so the tensions pulling on the line, rather than the tarp edge! (only a little suggestion!)
Well done

@wall2rockclimber cheers for the advice, I will get used to it I'm sure, and I've seen these really small packed bags in Tesco's for 20 quid I think, so I may just get one of those and modify it for an underblanket. Cheers again and keep the great videos coming!
What's your views on the snugpack under blanket and quilt, other than they're fucking expensive! I slept out in my new DD hamock last night, I had a Millets roll mat in the layters, a eurohik 300 sleeping bag and a eurohike cotton mummy liner and I thought I was warm or the first hour then my bones started aching! It was 3 degrees and I did not get a good nights kip! I found my legs aching a lot and I was trying to rold on my side? Am I just being a pussy??
Love the vids by the way, cheers.

haha yes very expensive and i will not pay that type of money out when you can buy a cheap sleeping bag and make it.
regards to not sleeping i would suggest it either you cant sleep in a hammock or get rid of the mat and make your self a underblanket, but dont suffer out there you are meant to enjoy your time out.
