Swedish 60's band BLOND does a cover of The Bands song The Weight. The clip is from 1969 I think.

  • @sellammar Why do you think they are Russian/serbian? They are Swedish.

  • @toppop100 What would you expect from a band that comes from Russia or Serbia.

  • FACTS!:

TAGES and BLOND is exactly the same group. Tages was renamed Blond in 1969. Tommy Blom, the leadsinger of Tages left the band in 1968 and after that they where only a quartet.

  • I don't know why they wasted their time doing a cover of such a poor and overrated song. Their originals were much better, as their album The Lilac Years proves.

Their only weakness, as one viewer has already noted, is that they weren't really capable of singing high harmonies. One of the tracks on The Lilac Years is marred by the singer's less than successful attempt to reach notes that were just out of his rage.

  • Insane!! Who'd have ever thought there'd be footage of Blond!! The lead singer was in The Tages, an ace 60's Swedish band!

  • 'They must not know English very well due to the constant lyrical flubs,' that is so typical of sweedish singers. Watch Yngie Malmsteen play Purple Haze!

  • They must not know English very well due to the constant lyrical flubs, and The harmonies are really off.

  • such a good cover!
