Philippe Jaroussky continues his rediscovery of long-forgotten arias for high male voice with this collection of music by Antonio Caldara, a contemporary of Bach, Handel and Vivaldi, who was the first composer to set many librettos by the great Metastasio and Zeno.

  • Amazing! I've always admire of P. Jaroussky as he truly reach time by time the proper place with rest of other great (Countertenor) such Andreas Scholl :)

  • Watching rehearsals is almost even more fun than watching the result. It is very consoling to notice that these people have to put in as much hard work and trials and misses in their art as the rest of us mere mortals.

    When Philippe is just humming a partition he does not use his headvoice, I noticed. Just like everybody else. :)
