Rich get richer, poor get poorer. Athletes don't give back money when they have a bad year, but they do renegotiate their contracts in a good year. Human nature is: gimme, gimme and blame others
When dealing with government I'm reminded of these 2 quotes.
1) I don't necessarily agree with everything I say. M. McLuhan
2) I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said., but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. R. McCloskey
Are you kidding me? Are you that gullible? I dont mean to sound arrogant but you have not studied history. You think Greenspan, made a mistake? Youve got to be kidding me. I just cant believe it. You watch the evening news and believe that too? Stop voting for McCain and Obama. You are part of the problem. Read The Creature from Jekyll Island and get educated before you speak about things you hear on the news and in the paper. SHEEPLE.
everyone is to blame for this disaster.. paulson for not making the banks come clean when this first surfaced two years ago.. joe six pack for borrowing money that he had no right borrowing.. no one is exempt from this mess.. yet paulson should have had the balls to step up two years ago and put a plan together.. rather than bailing out bear and letting everyone else on wall street think that if the shit hit the fan, they'd get the same treatment..
Any of you people that think the Government can do anything to fix what happened in the private sector you are MORON. We are going into a depression you bunch of idiots.
For what it's worth, the bailouts of Bear, FRE/FNM were never supposed to "fix all our problems".
This is an extremely complex problem with no one magic bullet that will "fix all our problems".
You don't have to support the bailout plan, but understand that absent it, credit markets grind to a halt and massive job loss will ensue.
American politics emphasizes "personalities" rather than "ability". As a result, when we face crisis, we're stuck with 'politicians' rather than capable managers
He knows what the problems are and what is needed to solve it, he is just lying to you the American people because he thinks you are all trash. He is in there just to make sure his friends get all their money back.
He is smart, he is just not operating in your interest. He's in there to protect the money of his friends.
BTW, who's running America these days? Is it President Paulsen or the dog walker named Bush? You should ask yourself that. Bush seems like he's been hiding all the while, tending the garden, walking the dog. Useless Fat Pig Cheney is gorging himself like a latter day Herman Goering, tending to his investments with Halliburton, getting rich off the Iraq War. They take no responsibility for the mess. What can u expect? Since they avoided service in Vietnam.
But you're just reacting to the events. I don't like Bush, but I think Paulson is actually a good guy. He may be flawed with his connections on Wall Street and the White House, but he's been called in to clean up a mess which he didn't create. He wasn't in the WH for most of Bush's tenure, and now has to make ammends for all its excesses and incompetence. Instead of blaming Paulsen, you might ask your self, "Where's Bush? Where's Cheney?Where are THOSE DOUCHEBAGS?"

Hank Paulson isn't a "bad" treasury secretary.
He knows what the problems are and what is needed to solve it, he is just lying to you the American people because he thinks you are all trash. He is in there just to make sure his friends get all their money back.
He is smart, he is just not operating in your interest. He's in there to protect the money of his friends.
That's all.
