Testing a Fake 2SC1969 Mitsubishi RF transistor in a 27Mhz AM/FM/SSB transceiver, here you can see what happens when you install a Fake 2sc1969 in your old radio thinking it will get it back on the air! - very little power and these fail very quickly. i wonder how many of these devices have allready been sold simply because there cheap - gauranteed genuine Mitsubishi said the seller, i don't think so!!

  • Have you ever managed to identify what the fake transistor is? It's a bit naughty selling them, but there seems to be a fake version of everything these days. Is it just a generic transistor with the fake details printed on it?

  • @urbex2007 There are many variations out there, you have to remember that there are lots of different types of transistor which use the same package style so it's just a matter of re-marking the parts to fool people that they are buying something else.

In some cases they could be just cheap MOSFET's which are re-marked.

  • I have a galaxy 44v. It has 2 c1969 finals in it and it doesn't transmit. Are they both the same? Is the pre driver and the final soppose to have the same number?

  • @CHEVELLE69350 According to the circuit diagram for your 44V it should use a 2SC2166 driver and a 2SC1969 final.

  • RUBBISH final someone should kick that wankers ass that sold you that junk final

  • @JettaJ1 Nice comment! but i am not stupid enough to buy a fake - these were supplied to me by others who for some reason thought they could buy a 2SC1969 for $1.50 each - which would be nice if they worked but i know you can't buy a working one for that price.

  • Well, I have the same problem, I bought a lot of 100 2SC2069 from China to MAXSOURCE CO. and work well only in low frequency, look like more and audio transistor than a RF transistor. The price was US$0.55 each but I think they sent to me other with this number, jejejejejejeje

I failed, I lost my money, it's a big mistake

    Beware with the Chinese business

  • those fakes were better than some which i first tried about 3 years ago. they blew after about 5 seconds and burnt the coils out with them.

  • Nice vid on the fake. What garbage eh? Lol! Keep up the great vids. Thanks :)

  • @weazle66 Thanks!!!!!

  • @weazle66 as the saying goes, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. and here is an example your video:) i feel bad for the mates that bought that transistor however iv only been in the radio for a year and a half and i know the sc1969 is RARE to find at-least working anyways hihi
