Here is a fantastic, very Yma Sumac-esque, rendition of a beautiful song by the great yet unfortunately forgotten singer Rita Moss.
A Los Angeles-based pianist and singer, Rita Moss began her career as a pop and jazz soloist in the mid-1950's. She was pictured on her first album (1956's "Introducing Rita Moss") singing while simultaneously playing, one hand on each, piano and bongos. She made several late 1960's albums, featuring pop, jazz and experimental music. It would be Moss' sung theme to 1968's "Rosemary's Baby" and a small hit the same year, "Just a Dream Ago", that represent her lasting claim to fame. "Daydream" was probably recorded in the early 1960's. It is a curious song, an invitation to reverie... Enjoy!
Beautiful. Thank you.
