I'm kind of weirded out. I love the anime, BUT the one I watched online sounds different in some way to the one you're describing - such as the daughter running away into a lesbian relationship - joke or not the girl even looks different & char designs are different - I've also never seen most of the scenes in the intro here & I've seen the entire anime (to my knowledge?). Is there an alternate thing I'm missing? Help D:

It is quite a shame that for the English dub though they had the opportunity to do french accents they decided not to. Perhaps they thought it would be too much of a hassle to try to get the voice actors to attempt to do french accents for each and every character ( though maybe not for the Count as he is viewed as being foreign ie alien). Other than that it is a pretty brilliant series and even with the animation and sci fi setting it is still quite faithful to the original novel .
