  • classic soundtrack ...

  • @Nightweaver1 Its too bad there is not like an AFN throwback station. Thankfully, my stepfather taped a lot of these programs and they are sitting back in Cincinnati, Ohio (I might entertain going through that library of vhs- cassettes and maybe convert them to DVD befor they are lost forever. Think about it, in these days television actually went off (remember the national anthem at the end of the day?

  • @mrrsaf You too huh? I was 5 years old when I first saw this in Frankfurt AM Main Platzenhousen (yes I still remember the name of the apartment complex). AFN baby, it's what we had. First anime I ever saw, and even then it was 10 years old.

  • I remember watching this while my stepfather was stationed in Baumholder, Germany in the early 80's on AFN (remember there was no Dish or Direct TV yet (lol)) so you had to watch American Forces Network! Good memories!

  • HA, it's cuz of the Force Five shows that I can tell most people I've been watching anime longer than any of 'em xD <3

  • I still have an old VHS tape from the early 80's recorded off of overseas cable (I grew up on a naval base in spain) along with the Ultraman Anime and I think an episode or two of Voltron. I still watch it ocasionally, nice to know my limited electronics education is good for something (keeping my VCR and my inner child on life support)
