  • thanks for these instruction... it has chenged my meditation from tension to relaxation and joy... thanks

Excellent! You have understood exactly what Bhante is describing. Let go of tension and tightness that causes you to wander from your object of meditation by letting it go and relaxing into it, not by controlling it. When you control it you are introducing MORE Craving into the mix. You can never be free from craving by using craving! Sadhu! -David

  • Buddhaghosa was just translating the Sri Lankan language at the time into Pali.. There was no evidence that he did anything otherwise.. Where did the story that Bhante tells come from?

    Metta

  • I heard him state that he doesn't follow the Visuddhimagga because Buddhagosa made up the meditation portion.. My question is 'how does he know that Buddhaghosa made up the Visuddhimagga?" What scriptures or writings state these things?? How does Bhante know these facts?

  • Well done and enlightening.Definitely worth watching for anyone who wants to learn meditation or deepen their practice. Thank you, Bhante.

  • it does not say "understand" it says: you" know" , your are "aware" of the breathing process. it is the sensation of breathing which one feels. Anapana-sati just means that:

atention of the in and out breath and not "understanding"

Loving kindness meditation is a kind of conditioning instead of emptying the mind.

If your meditation is deep enough you become friendly without any need to "practice" it.

  • thank you sir! i must start putting in right effort and actually meditating properly for once! it really is very beneficial to meditate well

  • Thank you for posting the video.

  • These instructions have helped my practice a great deal
