Israel has rejected a French proposal for an immediate emergency forty-eight-hour ceasefire to allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. As Israeli air and sea attacks against the Strip continued into its fifth day, basic food supplies in Gaza are running low, and hospitals are struggling to cope with the rising casualties. We speak to two Israelis opposed to the assault: Dov Khenin, a Knesset member with the Jewish-Arab party Hadash; and Jonathan Benartzi, an Israeli conscientious objector who spent more than a year in prison for refusing to serve. There were two journalists in Gaza. They reported (on the BBC of course) that the Israeli military were plugging teenagers in the back of the head for no reason whatsoever and also the red cross and the UN were attacked . The Red cross convoy was shot up because it was "mistaken" for an army of Palestinians. The UN school hid palestinian terrorists. In short, Same nonsense all the time.

This is collective punishment. Israel is clearly commiting a war crime. The IDF wants no reporters so there are no witnesses to the murder of women and children. The children will never be the same if they survive. There is no clean water,little food, fuel, medicine, etc. The blockade of a civilian population is in itself unlawful. Add to that the despicable acts of assaulting a closed off area, killing and wounding the captive population and destroying their dwellings and entire infrastructure.
