  • which direction is that fan meant to spin because i just removed mine and cleaned it and dont know if i put it in correctly,

also what will happen if i put it in wrongly ??

  • Hi Domno

If your fan is the same as the one in the video it's difficult to put it on upside down as the clips only go on one way. If you want to be sure just check that the air is blowing down and into the headsink rather than up and away from it.

    Hope that helps :)

  • Do all motherboards pretty much look like that? and does the heat sink come with the processor?

  • Yes, almost all motherboards will look like this. For more info on motherboards check out PCitYourself[DOT]com/choosing/motherboards.

'Retail' processors come with a heatsink, but 'OEM' ones do not. For more info on choosing a processor check out: PCitYourself[DOT]com/choosing/processor

    Hope that helps :)

  • Very detailed video! very nice. With what program did you made the animation though? Best regards, Urtaget

  • Intel heatsinks have it applied onto the bottom already, but if you buy a third party one you do need thermal paste.

  • Don't you need thermal paste?
