  • Great Video, Thanks. AcceleratorPlus.

About the parts which show Jesus speaking the words of the Gospel of St Thomas - did those come from a separate video?

  • If you want to see more of this video check out my playlists. The Gnostic playlist consists of about eleven parts.. all extracts from this classic documentary.

  • All the clips are from the same video.. but because a lot of it was in Dutch I had to edit it.. and I rearranged the parts that were in English

They are the high-lights from a 3 hour Gnostic series that was on the BBC about 25 yeras ago.. which I had recorded onto video when it was screened in Holland..The documentary was originally broadcast in English.. Sadly I only have a version in Dutch.

  • I have great respect for Elaine Pagels, as she teaches that the gnostic gospels come from a higher source, particularly the sayings of Jesus in Thomas' gospel. However, I have yet to find a True Gnostic anywhere in the world... one who truly understands this gospel, since it can only be understood by a person who has been genuinely Baptised by the Holy Spirit, as Jesus was. There is no place in Chrsitianity today for christs or gnostics. Scholars would ignore them also.

  • "If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you."

Great vid all except for the blonde beardless Jesus.

  • @MrLeagueOJustice LOL, how pompous are you?

  • an orthodox christian and Jew sees God as separate from his creatures? i dont think so God is omnipresent And she also says that for a traditional christian is blasphemy to say that on a deeper level God is within all of us and that s wrong again Bible sais Jesus said :ïsnt it written? ye are all gods"

  • @3877michael

Oh cry me a river about your 'conflict and wars' Poor child! Who gives a fuck? This is eternal truth we're talking about here. Go listen to another John Lennon song

  • @gnosticjohn ....cont...Also if there was no female Mother God then how are women made in Gods image?? The problem is Im looking for other true gnostics and there are none in this world that I can find. They would be my True Brothers (Gods Seal would seem to be given only to men if Rev is correct., even though the role of women is just as important re logion 114. Reply direct to my email address if you can... it is on my profile.

  • @Katahu Thankyou for your comment. I cant actually find your profile... youtube says it is not available. Yes you are right that the Church has tried to destroy all evidence of this precious gospel. I am actually someone who does understand it, from a personal experience back in 1986... the gospel confirms my sanity and it also brings in our Mother in Heaven... as we have TWO Divine Parents, not just a Father. See logion 101, which is absolutely true.... cont..

  • @gnosticjohn One may not need to find a true Gnostic to learn what the Gospel meant. Experiential knowledge alone (shared with others) could help in the process. After all, experiential knowledge is the center piece of Gnosticism. It is what gives you your identity. It is what makes you unique from the others even if you became one with the godhead. Besides, we can't truly understand the Gospels here in this material world because the Orthodox did a fine job in destroying much of the early text.

  • The war of words. The war of thoughts. The war of beliefs. Kind of makes you think doesn't it? All this so called truth results in conflict and wars.
