Today we are going to be installing Valley hitch part number V82683 on a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country. You can see underneath here we have got three existing bolts here on the bottom of the frame. These are going to provide the three attaching points for the trailer hitch. We are going to need to remove all three of those bolts, and we will actually be reusing those for the hitch attachment. Over here on the passengers side, we will be using the same three attaching points. The bolts are already in the frame. As you can see, we have got the exhaust that is in the way, so we are going to need to lower that first before we can get started. We have got a hanger right here on the outboard side of the frame. We are going to be removing the exhaust from that hanger. That should give us enough clearance to go ahead and get the hitch up. To get the exhaust off of its hanger, we will have to go ahead and spray it down with a lubricant, like a WD-40. And you can see as I pull away from the exhaust now I should have enough room to get the bolts out of the frame. As you can see here, with the exhaust pulled out of the way, we have got the AC lines running in between the two forward-most bolts. We want to make sure not to pinch those when we put the hitch up into position. There is a cutout in the hitch itself to ensure that that does not happen.

OK, and with all the bolts removed from both sides we can go ahead and put the hitch up into position. Again, if the hitch is going to interfere with the AC lines on the drivers side, you want to make sure you slide the hitch up next to the frame and underneath the AC lines. OK, and with all the bolts up in position, we can go ahead and torque them down. You want to check with your directions to verify the appropriate torque rating for each individual bolt. OK, and with all the bolts torqued down, we just want to make sure we put our exhaust back up on its hanger, and our installation will be complete. And this will conclude the installation of hitch part number V82683 on a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country.
