This is me firing my M1 Carbine. One with a 15 round magazine and the other with a 30. Enjoy!

Please feel free to comment, rate, and subscribe. I know there are a few rounds that I shot that didn't make a sound or had half the sound in them and I apologize for that.

Here is a little background on the M1 Carbine.

Caliber: .30 Carbine
Operation: Gas
Muzzle Velocity: 1,970 ft/s (600 m/s)
Effective Range: 250-300 yards
Produced: Late 1941 to late 1945
Number built: 6.25 million
Weight: 5.2 lbs. (unloaded)
Length: 35.6 in.
Magazine capacity: 15 or 30 round detachable box

The M1 Carbine was designed by two employees at the Winchester Arms factory. It was designed to provide better protection than a pistol and fired the newly developed .30 Carbine round. The M1 Carbine would see extensive use throughout WWII and was highly praised by U.S. troops through both theaters and was mainly issued to NCOs and other officers as a better substitute than an M1911. It also saw plenty of action through the Korean War but with a fully automatic fire capability. In Korea the Carbine performed poorly and the majority of troops disliked it. It tended to freeze, jam and lacked sufficient stopping power. Most Allied soldiers would try to get an M1 Garand if they could to replace their Carbine. In Vietnam the Carbine got one last shot, arming thousands of South Vietnamese forces against the NVA and VC. It was used by both the South and North. It performed very well and did its job. Today it is a popular firearm among the civilian population all over the world.

Variants include: M1A1- A folding stock version made for use by U.S. paratroopers. M2- Fully automatic and semi-auto variant and the first version to see large use with the 30 round magazine. M3- An M2 Carbine with an infrared night vision scope mounted on top.

  • Isn't the M1 Carbine a great rifle to shoot? Love it.

Fui o S2 Fonseca , QIG PM . Hoje eles usam o G3 Alemão !
