Ev'ry morning there's a raven perched upon the bust
Of Pallas o'er my chamber door
As I was napping he came tapping at my window
Stately bird from saintly days of yore

Ebon wanderer
From the nightly shore
Not at all stopped or stayed he but with mien of lord or lady
Perched above my door
