  • Arlene Smith had one of the greatest voices of all time. The last great female group was The Supremes. They were preceded by the Chantels, the Chiffons, the Shirelles, the Crystals, the Marvelettes, Martha & the Vandellas the Dixie Cups, the Bobettes and the great Roni Spector and the Ronettes. No femal groups that I've heard since can be added to this list. Great, great harmonies and great songs.

  • People!!! The information on the web on this question is very much inaccurate. I asked a Facebook friend who knows EVERYTHING about Doo Wop. He tells me, which means it's true, that Arlene Smith is very much alive and well.

  • RIP WE LOVE YOU

  • @pjny2 Maybe the best female vocalist of ALL time> Gotta love her.
