The Angel

This is the wood version of the original which was made from scrap pieces of steel in 2004. The bearing box was a piece of drop from a 4x4 square tube. The angel body and wings were cut from a slice of a six-inch bar, and the other pieces were cut from various pieces of steel scrap. The toy was welded together. The wood version is epoxied together. The convert utility from ImageMagick was used to make the animation and video. Although this is the simplest mechanism, it was the most difficult to animate due to the stripes painted on the cam and cam follower.
