Can't remember why a video was even filmed for this album track from The Delgados' debut album 'Domestiques' but we filmed it back to back, Lord Of The Rings style, with the Under Canvas Under Wraps video.
Filmed in the George Hotel (now replaced by the Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow), a uniquely terrifying building with alcoholic, piss-stained receptionists and a moth eaten, scarily realistic tramp mannequin inexpicably adorning the foyer.
Entire floors of the hotel were off limits with rooms curiously changing hands 'by the hour' if you catch our drift. Fond memories of this video shoot revolve particularly around the marvelous dancing gent in the trench coat; our friend Harry from our then distributor SRD - a man who must shoulder a large share of the blame for Chemikal Underground, as he picked up our distribution when no-one else was interested. What a guy, what a dancer: we love you Harry...

It's interesting to hear how their sound changed as they progressed. This is definitely more alternative sounding then even their next album. The great thing about this band is they arguably kept getting better and more mature with each release. My favorite band.

This song is not their best, but it's pretty good. The vid is weird, though. BUT THE DELGADOS ARE GODS! I LOVE THEM!!!!!! LOVE ZEEEEM!

Love the early Delgados....scottish as fuck. and if I didn't know better, I would have said that this video was made in me mates flat.
