This is my 135 Gallon reef tank during a thunderstorm event simulated by a Profilux II aquarium controller and 3 x Profilux Simu Spots, with a 3rd party LED bar modified to work with the Profilux (dimming control only)
This is pretty cool, love the colors you have going in the tank. That being said, I agree with most that it needs water drops. Rig up a cheapo filter and set up some lines so it drops water in different spots and then it would be pretty cool looking... also some bass for that storm!
I suppose the point of installing such a system, as a serious aquarist, is to simulate at best the animals' natural environment. Storms being a part thereof. Though I don't see the water getting any rougher and the precipitation is quite uniform. It's an expensive partypiece, imo.
Very unique, I can`t wait until this type of realism is built into aquarium hoods and is affordable for the average and non DIY aquarist.
