I already understood this...And i'm only 14...This is ridiculously simple maths.... You just need to be able to count up to 5:P Lilia would struggle...she's only good at counting to 3:P

stupid

We know that for sure because they showed the actual number of viewers votes on Saturdays Strictly Final. Tom got most public votes which meant that he & Lisa were drawing.

this is really easy maths and now i understand it

Its not that complex. Look at the eventual results even if Tom recieved the most viewer votes (which he proabably did)
Lisa 3 + 1 = 4
Rachel 3 +2 = 5
Tom 1 + 3 = 4
The first scores a from the judges, the second the viewers. So you can see even if Tom got the most votes and therefore 3 points form the viewers, whichever of the other contestants recieved 2 points would have beaten him, leveing Tom incapable of escaping the dance off.

That made no sense to me whatsoever.

So the BBC has made a mistake and trying to use mathnmatics/ statistics to show that it can occur one in 8 times! Not good enough! This is just a question you find in a school exam, but the real question is, Why bother?
