Max was a beautiful cat. So sorry he died at such a young age. It's good that you have this video to remember him by.

OMG! I am so sorry to learn of Max's sudden passing - and at such a young age! What happened? I have a 13-year-old Maine Coon (Jake) & lost my sweet Sealpoint Himalayan (Kahlua) just 1 month short of his 6th birthday to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. I swear I was in shock for almost 2yrs after losing a kitty that young as my cats have always lived well into their mid-late teens. R.I.P., Max & I know I'll never fill the void that Jake will leave when he must cross Rainbow Bridge.

@JuiceCat9 Thank you for posting this...I'm glad you have treasured memories though. I've never seen another cat that purrs so loudly and distinctively as the maine coons. Mine will alternate that purring with a few trills here and there. Especially if he's being rubbed..

Turn off the TV.

I had a Maine Coon "Zeus" who I had to put to sleep. He was 9 years old, so I guess I was "blessed" to have an extra 4 years....but I miss him terribly. Sorry for your loss!! The Maine Coon is such a loving breed.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost Max unexpectedly! ='( i'm glad you were able to get this wonderful video to have as a nice memory & also to share with everyone. He sure did purr loudly! I had a tiny Maine Coon female (never weighed more than 7 lbs) that I just lost last week to a high grade sarcoma. I'm glad I had made lots of videos of her after getting the diagnosis.

Awwww, I'm so sorry for your loss. He was young, only 5. But such a handsome beautiful boy!!! I adopted my Maine Coon 5 yrs ago (didn't know he was a Maine Coon till a few weeks ago LOL!), and he'll be 11 this Oct. He was 6 when I got him. I love him to pieces. Check out my videos to see if you like ; ) Again, sorry for your loss....they are family and can never be replaced.

What a magnificent fellow Max was! I know you are glad to have the video. I think our companion animals are here to remind us to be mindful and grateful for each moment since their lives are usually so much briefer than ours. Thank you for sharing.

Oh my God, this is so sad: '(
I can see the nictitans shows some signs of discomfort. Still, he purrs so friendly. Was he a little short of breath?
R.I.P. Max!

what a sweetheart! I love that big rumbley purr! Sorry to hear about your loss. Wishing you wonderful new memories with your new sweeties!
I am sorry that Max passed away. Thank you for posting this video. I lost Misha, my Maine Coon buddy last week in a tragic accident. He was just shy of 20 pounds and he GREATLY resembled Max. He was also 5. Unfortunately we lost most of his pictures and all videos in a computer meltdown. This video made my wife and I remember so much. Thank you and God bless Max.

I am sorry to for the loss of your dear Misha, ... and happy that my little video remembrance of Max has given you some comfort. I have since acquired two new kittens to help fill the void Max left, but he was a one of a kind and can never be replaced.

Thank you so much. That is very kind of you. I have since bought two new Maine Coon angels into my house. They will never be Max, but they are doing a good job and bring a lot of comfort to me as well.
