I wanted to recreate the ending of one of my favourite episodes from the BBC's cult science fiction series Blake's 7. Like my previous CGI attempt, this model obviously lacks textures and particles as I made this a few years ago on a 3D programme and a simple video editing software.

  • my least favourite episode. They should never have killed off the Liberator

  • @Mob01971 I remember reading somewhere that a reason they blew up the Liberator was because the set was falling apart and it was too expensive to maintain. So they went for the quick and cheap option of completely replacing the set and ship.

I do prefer the Liberator over the Scorpio myself.

  • Dear DLiberator it was Scorpio :-) I agree but prefer revive to remake. Bring'em all back! New actors though the original ones are too old and Thomas is too much a pain.

  • As you can tell by my YT name I am a big B7 fan. I love the orchestral theme tune used here. I would love to see the BBC do a re-make of the original series which enhanced CGI effects just like what was done for Star Trek TOS. The Liberator was a fantastic ship and the Scorpion was not so. B7 Creator Terry Nation said that he had thought of several ideas to revive the characters, watch this interview: watch?v=hILNfZN-WNY

  • Whoever did the reorchestration of the theme, well done. I almost prefer it to the original!! xx

  • This is ace in billions of ways.

Series 3 was supposed to be the end, they destroyed the Liberator, Killed of Blake and Servalan and left Avon & co marooned on Terminal.

However, it was unexpectedly renewed by on screen announcement so the production team had to create some pretty convoluted means of getting the crew back on a ship and somehow resurrect Servalan. Fortunately her death was never actually seen.
