2013 NFL Pro Bowl NFC Roster Notes: Nine 49ers to Miss Exhibition While Preparing for SB XLVII

For some NFL fans, the annual Pro Bowl is as meaningless as a mini-camp practice without pads. For others, it's one more Sunday to tune in to watch their favorite players. As is the case every year, there's a number of changes to the original Pro Bowl rosters -- some due to injury, others as a result of who's advanced on to play in the Super Bowl. That's especially true this year in the NFC, where nine 49ers players will forgo their trip to Hawaii and instead head to New Orleans to play for Super Bowl XLVIII against the Baltimore Ravens. SB Nation's Jerry Mallory takes a look at the NFC Pro Bowl roster now that the dust has settled on who's in and who's out.

im a girl... i love football...im from texas... high school ball and three t.v. stations makes me competent to give my opinion...what a great honor to be nominated to the pro bowl... its grown up all-stars. BUT... please know this lifetime fan suggests to eliminate the actual game. we all know its exibition, or...have the pro bowl next years pre season games. hey just a thought. dont steal my idea. lol
