"Well, what a coincidence," came a guy's voice from above. Camilla opened her eyes and looked up. She gasped.
Hanging right above her was Nick, his deep brown eyes laughing as he stared down at her. He braced all of his weight on his hands, which were on either side of her head.
She stared at him for a few moments before she started to become aware of the murmurs of the people around them.
Nick gave small smile as he got up and brought her up with him. He quickly let her hands go when they both stood up and he glanced at the small crowd which had gathered.
Camilla self consciously wiped her hands on her jeans and looked down blushing. She couldnt believe everyone just saw that, how embarrassing!

"Camilla! Are you all right? I cant believe that Westie just ran right into you!" Meghan exclaimed as she rushed to Camilla and more exclamations against the West side kids began. Camilla shot a look to Nick apologetically.
Just then Camilla heard a shout coming behind her and saw a couple of West guys in the parking lot. "Nick! Come on! Were leaving man!"
Nick glanced back at Camilla and winked before walking away, the East side people parting for him as he strode down the sidewalk.


(Nicks POV)
After explaining to my friends what happened and why I was surrounded by the East kids, I started thinking about herCamilla. Of course the girl I run into on the West part of the city is one of the most sought after girls in the school; rich, popular, beautiful. That was Camilla. What the hell was she doing on the wrong side last night? Ill figure it out. Man is she gorgeous. I could stare into those sapphire eyes forevereyes like that should be outlawed, they almost got me killed. I was so busy staring, I didnt even notice the East kids gathering until she looked up. If I had stayed in that position a moment more, I would have been beaten into a pulp by those jocks. Those eyes seem so familiar, and that red-gold hair, I just cant place it. I wonder if she will come to the West side again

(Camillas POV)
Nick. Nick Jonas. We were friends, best friends when I used to live on the West side. Right up until my dad got promoted when I was eight and we moved to New York, only to move back to Chicago two years ago when I was fourteen. Except we now lived in one of the nicest houses on the East side and I no longer went by the name Cami, which was the name he would know me by. We promised we would always be best friends, but I guess it didnt really work out. And now he is older and way too hot for his own good.

"That was Nick Jonas," Samantha whispered. (We were in seminar English)
"He is the hottest bad-boy from the West side," she continued. "The football was about to grab him before they realized who he was. Obviously he can handle himself in a fight."

No doubt he could. His father was deep in the illegal selling of guns, drugs, alcohol, and assortment of other things. When we were little his dad was already sending his older brothers Joe and Kevin to help him collect the money; Nick probably started handling a gun and knife by the time he was eleven or twelve. Of course my friends didnt know that, or know that I know that. My family kept it a deep secret that we used to live on the West side, because if anyone found out, we would be kicked out of high society.

I doodled on the quiz we were taking on Hamlet. I couldnt help but want to see him again. I need to get to know him againbut how? I wonder if he knows who I am.
I sighed and put my head down on my desk. Yes, I was definitely going to the West side again today.
